Final and DXF

Building the Prototype

Back of chair

Seat

Assembled wooden parts to see if everything fit.

An extrusion on the back part of the chair wasn’t laser cut so the slotting extrusion was cut off.

Measure wire to fit the model.

Bend wire and fit it to the model.

Dissemble wooden parts

Sand wooden parts with fine sand paper using an electric sander.

Coated wooden parts with “Quick Step” using a sponge to reduce texture created by a brush.

“Quick Step” dried enough for another coat to be applied in around 15 min.

3 light coats were applied and then sanded down again.

A lot of space was required to coat every piece at once.

Sand wire and then coat it with a clear steel sealant.

Problems

‘Quickstep’ was very runny and pored onto the floor sticking the part to it.

The brush heavily textured the ‘Quickstep’ coat.

Dxf had a mistake in it.

The seat wasn’t cut properly.
